Tex Plastics invest in their biggest machine to date
19 August 2015
Tex Plastics Division has taken delivery of a new Negri Bossi V1300-17000 WP Vector series machine and robot.
More efficient and higher tonnage machine
The machine is the new Wide Platen variant, having a very generous 1600 mm between the top bars. This adds to the already impresive plant list of the Midlands based injection moulding specialists. The injection unit was also specified to provide the most flexible solution, offering up to 7750 cubic centimetres shot capacity, coupled with a maximum injection pressure of nearly 2100 bar.
Following an extremely successful 2014, the decision was made to invest in a machine that would cater for both larger component requirements from `White Goods’ manufacturers and larger mould tools, such as those associated with the Automotive Sector.
“We have noted the trend for larger mouldings and tools within the Plastic Sector, so we decided to invest for the future, and buy `bigger’ than we need for our current production portfolio”.
Lee Barker, New Business Development Director
This is the third Vector series machine installed at the Derby plant in recent years, testament to the partnership that has evolved between Tex Plastics and Negri Bossi.
“Our technicians find the low level design and ease of use of the control system of these machines a real plus, and we believe it is important to listen to the opinions of our key staff. We also have a proven track record with Negri Bossi, in terms of both the reliability of their equipment and the levels of service they provide”
