Tex Plastics middle management take new business-focused IOSH qualification designed for a new generation of safety and health professionals.
Top down commitment to health & safety
No one should be injured or made ill at work. The management are passionate about making this vision a reality at Tex Plastics. We start from the simple moral imperative that everyone has the right to safe and healthy working conditions – which is why Tex Plastics has invested significantly in taking its entire middle management team through the IOSH Health and Safety training process.
IOSH is the Chartered body for health and safety professionals
The new ‘Safety and Health for Business’ qualification has been specifically designed to be highly relevant for businesses. It has enabled the Tex Plastics managers to support our organisations’ business strategies and objectives through their specialist health and safety knowledge.
“The business intelligence we receive demonstrates to us the real need for rounded safety and health professionals able to work alongside business leaders helping them achieve their goals and deliver their strategies responsibly. Linked to our competency framework IOSH Blueprint, the qualification will help organisations do what they do better, more responsibly and more sustainably.”
Richard Orton, Director of Business Services at IOSH
It makes sound business sense to keep our people safe
There is clear evidence that good health and safety practices result in reducing lost production time, reduced absenteeism and sick leave, reduced personnel turnover, reduced insurance premiums and reduced liabilities, legal costs and penalties. But it’s not only about saving money and reducing cost, it’s about a more engaged workforce, winning new business and enhancing our reputation.
