Apprentices key to Tex Plastics continued success
15 October 2018
Modern Apprenticeships help individuals work, learn and earn while they get the skills they need. Tex Plastics are looking to recruit more people under the Modern Apprenticeship scheme, from school leavers to those more mature who want to learn a new skill. This is a key aspect of the Tex Plastics strategy to support the growth and investment across their Derby and Barnstaple sites.
Focus on future talent with drive for apprentices
“We want to recruit more apprentices at both Derby and Barnstaple, however there is no specific course for what we do, which is why we also have a major focus on internal training and promoting from within. This means if someone joins us as an apprentice in maintenance, but excels in robotics, they have the opportunity to drive their own career path within Tex Plastics. We have a diverse workforce - so whatever age, sex or ethnicity - we value the people within our business and invest in their personal development so that they can achieve their full potential. With the general skills shortages in industry, it is important to develop a rich mix of people for the future.”
Justin Davies, Managing Director, Tex Plastics
