Lee Barker, Technical & Business Development Director, celebrates 15 years at Tex Plastics.
A huge milestone and a fantastic journey
Lee joined Tex Plastics from Nypro, a global moulding company based in Wrexham Wales, back in 2007. He started his career in injection moulding as an apprentice toolmaker, for his father’s company Triform Precision, based in the West Midlands. To develop his career he moved to Nypro as Technical Manager and progressed to Global Project Manager, working with the European and American businesses on NPI, where he gained a reputation as a troubleshooter. His ability to solve complex moulding issues was what got him noticed. The then Managing Director of Tex Industrial Plastics Derby, Peter Stevenson, head hunted him and his journey at Tex Plastics began.
Lee joined Tex Plastics in March as Technical Manager and within 18 months was promoted to a Technical Director Derby, When Tex Plastics Barnstaple & Tex Industrial Plastics Derby merged - his role grew again to Technical & Business Development Director.
