Introducing Richard Broad - new BDM at Tex Plastics

With 30+ years in the plastics industry, Richard brings a wealth of experience to Tex Plastics.

“It’s great to be joining such a forward thinking company, and a really exciting time with a huge investment programme. With new information systems, website and a dozen new injection-moulding machines - there’s lots to talk about with prospective customers. The company is undergoing a significant transformation, becoming more energy efficient, greener and operationally more efficient with the new floor plan and production capability.”

Richard Broad Business Development Manager, Tex Plastics

Trouble shooting to product development

Richard started his career in plastic injection moulding as an apprentice toolmaker in 1988, and served his time learning how to make injection mould tools before then transferring into direct injection moulding. Having the understanding of moulding tools stood him in good stead for the next 11 years of his career as a trade moulder, where he became a senior technician and eventually a development engineer.

Technical Solutions are Richard's area of expertise

Richard went on to work in, and managed injection mould shops, at supervisory and senior management level - before progressing into technical engineering based sales around 2005. His career took him across Europe and eventually to the Southern Hemisphere in a more strategic, but very customer facing role. Highly experienced in working offshore in China, he helped customers to develop and get approval for their products, Richard's passion is to see things through from start to finish. One of the key attributes Tex Plastics value from their Business Development Team is helping customers solve problems. Ultimately helping them develop better products through a collaborative approach.
