TEX Plastics Strengthens Operations

TEX Plastics Strengthens Operations

TEX Plastics is delighted to announce the promotion of Charlotte Tunnicliffe to the role of Supply Chain Manager, a key position that supports the company’s evolving operational needs and growing customer base.

Although Charlotte is based at the Derby facility, her responsibilities span both TEX Plastics locations, giving her oversight of the entire supply chain—from raw material sourcing to the flow of secondary processes and third-party components.

Charlotte’s promotion reflects the increasing importance of integrated supply chain leadership in the plastic injection moulding sector. As customer expectations rise and product assemblies become more complex, the ability to manage multiple supply streams while keeping production running smoothly has become essential. TEX Plastics recognises this challenge, and Charlotte’s new role strengthens the company’s commitment to delivering dependable, flexible and efficient manufacturing support.

Supply Chain Management: A Critical Function in Injection Moulding

In plastic injection moulding, supply chain management extends far beyond securing raw polymers. While the availability of material is foundational to production, modern injection moulding projects often involve a variety of secondary operations—including printing, finishing, ultrasonic welding, assembly, packaging and quality checks. Many customer programmes also require integrating third-party components sourced by the client, which must arrive on time and to the correct specification to maintain seamless production.

Coordinating this broad spectrum of inputs demands precision, visibility and forward planning. Charlotte’s role ensures that every element feeding into the moulding process is in place exactly when needed.

Balancing Production Schedules with Customer Delivery Requirements

TEX Plastics’ ability to meet client expectations relies on carefully managing the delicate balance between planned production schedules and real-world delivery requirements. Any supply chain disruption—material delays, late third-party components, or unexpected changes in customer demand—can affect deadlines, cost efficiency and capacity planning.

Charlotte will work closely with production, planning and customer service teams to:

  • Forecast and secure critical raw materials
  • Coordinate secondary processes across both sites
  • Track and manage third-party components supplied by clients
  • Reduce delays and minimise interruptions to production
  • Improve communication and expectation-setting with customers
  • Ensure finished components are delivered on time

This integrated approach supports TEX Plastics’ drive for continuous improvement, operational transparency and consistent performance across its two facilities.

Strengthening Customer Confidence Through Supply Chain Excellence

With customers increasingly focused on reliability, traceability, and total supply chain visibility, TEX Plastics is investing in both people and systems to enhance operational control. Charlotte’s promotion is a testament to her expertise, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate complex, multi-stage workflows.

Her leadership will reinforce TEX Plastics’ position as a trusted, responsive partner capable of handling everything from straightforward moulding projects to highly engineered assemblies.

TEX Plastics warmly congratulates Charlotte Tunnicliffe on her new role as Supply Chain Manager and looks forward to the strengthened customer experience, operational resilience and improved supply chain performance she will bring across the business.
