In memory of our colleague Wayne Gordon

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our colleague Wayne Gordon, who died on 25th November 2025.
Wayne joined TEX Plastics on 21st April 1987 as an Operator. Over the course of nearly four decades with the company, he became a familiar and respected presence across our operations. Through dedication, hard work, and quiet professionalism, Wayne built a long and valued career at Tex.
In March 1997, Wayne was promoted to Shift Cell Leader, recognising the commitment and reliability he had already demonstrated during his early years with us. He continued to grow within the business and, in April 2001, took on the role of Team Leader in Factory 1. Wayne later moved into Quality as a Quality Inspector in June 2010, where his attention to detail and steady approach proved invaluable.
In April 2023, Wayne stepped into the role of Shift Quality Leader, further strengthening the support he provided to our teams and the standards we uphold as a company. Most recently, in September 2025, Wayne successfully applied for the position of Production/QA Shift Team Leader, a role that reflected both his experience and the trust placed in him by those who worked alongside him.
While Wayne was a private individual and what everyone who met him could agree on was his character. He was consistently described as kind, considerate, and thoughtful. Wayne approached his work and his colleagues with quiet dignity, always willing to help and always treating others with respect.
Wayne’s long service and contribution to TEX Plastics will not be forgotten. He was part of the fabric of our business for many years, and his presence will be greatly missed by colleagues across the company.
